Welcome to Tweedknowe in the beautiful border town of Melrose.

Only minutes away from the River Tweed, Melrose Abbey and local shops and restaurants, Tweedknowe provides a comfortable and relaxing home from home, in a beautiful Victorian house.

In addition to our 3 individual and spacious bedrooms, our guests have sole use of a plush Victorian sitting room, as well as access to our orchard garden. All our rooms are located in a separate part of the house with its own private entrance for our guests.

Our emphasis is on local and home-made produce, such as home-baked bread, locally sourced meats and organic dairy and cereals, to make your breakfast a treat.

Your hosts during your stay will be Mirian & Doug. Mirian from Düsseldorf, spent several years working in the world of Corporate Finance. She speaks German, English, French and some Spanish. Although much travelled, she has a passion for all things Scottish. Doug, a native of Edinburgh is a freelance language trainer. In addition to working in various parts of the world, he has spent a number of years in the Scottish Borders and is well acquainted with it`s historical and cultural attractions. Together they have realised their ambition to establish a guesthouse in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
